Expectations were set high for a movie with 100% on Rotten Tomatoes as of July 9th. It may be difficult to find a theater showing this limited release film that premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, but it is well worth the effort. The movie revolves around the unique relationship and living situation of a father and his daughter- both wanting to live a life they deem right for themselves. As they trek through the forests of the great Northwest, they find themselves not only learning about each other, but about themselves as well. Seeing as no film is perfect, there were brief scenes that did little to add to the story line, which slowed down the pacing of the film. Both director, Debra Granik, and casting directors did a phenomenal job bringing together this unique pair, Ben Foster and Thomas McKenzie, as well as others to tell a story of finding your place among society.
